Albums
The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, as well as several compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.
Before Toto was formed The members of the band played sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics for the absence of hit singles. In 1985, lead singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group The band held auditions for a new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The band dug through old tapes and recordings to create the special record. The album was a hit by fans and the band embarked on a tour that featured former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun The drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In the year 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

The band decided to let him go at the conclusion of the tour and then hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. David Hungate, the drummer was also let go following the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.
The TOTO Museum is an impressive futuristic building that has several exhibition rooms dedicated solely to telling the story about the company and its most innovative products. Toto has produced many music videos. The band has also released several compilation videos and DVDs. The band's most popular video is "Africa" which has more than one billion views. The video is set in a library where the band performs on top of an African book stack.
The track "Africa" is a track from the album Toto IV, was written by the members of the band and produced by David Paich. The song was written by band members and was produced by David Paich. It was a huge success in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their popularity after their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.

Before and during the formation of Toto, its members did sessions for a variety of artists. Drummer Jeff Porcaro and bassist David Hungate played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs which led to Toto's formation. Keyboardist Paich was frequent on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on an album titled Old Is New. The album featured three brand new tracks, as well as several finished recordings of songs from the past. The album became a huge success and the band embarked on a tour to promote it.

Toto, known for the hit song "Africa", recently joined forces to promote their upcoming album, All In. The album came out on November 6, 2018 and included three brand new tracks from the forthcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, and also completed recordings of four older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album included a cover version of Weezer’s song “Hash Pipe” which they added after hearing it on the radio.
