01). Individual light exposures resulted in a 50 min earlier time of half-maximum accumulated illuminance in the Test than the Reference room (p less then 0.05). The melatonin secretion onset and peripheral heat loss in the evening occurred significantly earlier with respect to habitual sleeptime in the Test compared to the Reference room (p less then 0.05). Our findings suggest that optimized dynamic workplace lighting has the potential to promote earlier melatonin onset and peripheral heat loss prior bedtime, which may be beneficial for persons with a delayed circadian timing system. The pandemic threat of COVID-19 has severely destroyed human life as well as the economy around the world. Although, the vaccination has reduced the outspread, but people are still suffering due to the unstable RNA sequence patterns of SARS-CoV-2 which demands supplementary drugs. To explore novel drug target proteins, in this study, a transcriptomics RNA-Seq data generated from SARS-CoV-2 infection and control samples were analyzed. We identified 109 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that were utilized to identify 10 hub-genes/proteins (TLR2, USP53, GUCY1A2, SNRPD2, NEDD9, IGF2, CXCL2, KLF6, PAG1 and ZFP36) by the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis. The GO functional and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses of hub-DEGs revealed some important functions and signaling pathways that are significantly associated with SARS-CoV-2 infections. The interaction network analysis identified 5 TFs proteins and 6 miRNAs as the key regulators of hub-DEGs. Considering 10 hub-proteins and 5 key TFs-proteins ans.Directed greybox fuzzing (DGF) is an effective method to detect vulnerabilities of the specified target code. Nevertheless, there are three main issues in the existing DGFs. First, the target vulnerable code of the DGFs needs to be manually selected, which is tedious. Second, DGFs mainly leverage distance information as feedback, which neglects the unequal roles of different code snippets in reaching the targets. Third, most of the existing DGFs need the source code of the test programs, which is not available for binary programs. In this paper, we propose a vulnerability-oriented directed binary fuzzing framework named VDFuzz, which automatically identifies the targets and leverages dynamic information to guide the fuzzing. In specific, VDFuzz consists of two components, a target identifier and a directed fuzzer. The target identifier is designed based on a neural-network, which can automatically locate the target code areas that are similar to the known vulnerabilities. Considering the inequality of code snippets in reaching the given target, the directed fuzzer assigns different weights to basic blocks and takes the weights as feedback to generate test cases to reach the target code. Experimental results demonstrate that VDFuzz outperformed the state-of-the-art fuzzers and was effective in vulnerability detection of real-world programs. The aim of this study is to test whether sex prediction can be made by using machine learning algorithms (ML) with parameters taken from computerized tomography (CT) images of cranium and mandible skeleton which are known to be dimorphic. CT images of the cranium skeletons of 150 men and 150 women were included in the study. 25 parameters determined were tested with different ML algorithms. Accuracy (Acc), Specificity (Spe), Sensitivity (Sen), F1 score (F1), Matthews correlation coefficient (Mcc) values were included as performance criteria and Minitab 17 package program was used in descriptive statistical analyses. p ≤ 0.05 value was considered as statistically significant. In ML algorithms, the highest prediction was found with 0.90 Acc, 0.80 Mcc, 0.90 Spe, 0.90 Sen, 0.90 F1 values as a result of LR algorithms. As a result of confusion matrix, it was found that 27 of 30 males and 27 of 30 females were predicted correctly. Acc ratios of other MLs were found to be between 0.81 and 0.88. It has been concluded that the LR algorithm to be applied to the parameters obtained from CT images of the cranium skeleton will predict sex with high accuracy. As the population ages, the realization of a long and happy life is becoming an increasingly important issue in many societies. Therefore, it is important to clarify how happiness and the brain change with aging. In this study, which was conducted with 417 healthy adults in Japan, the analysis showed that fractional anisotropy (FA) correlated with happiness, especially in the internal capsule, corona radiata, posterior thalamic radiation, cingulum, and superior longitudinal fasciculus. According to previous neuroscience studies, these regions are involved in emotional regulation. In psychological studies, emotional regulation has been associated with improvement in happiness. Therefore, this study is the first to show that FA mediates the relationship between age and subjective happiness in a way that bridges these different fields. In this work, an original mathematical model for metals leaching from electronic waste in a dark fermentation process is proposed. The kinetic model consists of a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations, accounting for the main biological, chemical, and physical processes occurring in the fermentation of soluble biodegradable substrates and in the dissolution process of metals. Ad-hoc experimental activities were carried out for model calibration purposes, and all experimental data were derived from specific lab-scale tests. The calibration was achieved by varying kinetic and stoichiometric parameters to match the simulation results to experimental data. Cumulative hydrogen production, glucose, organic acids, and leached metal concentrations were obtained from analytical procedures and used for the calibration. The results confirmed the high accuracy of the model in describing biohydrogen production, organic acids accumulation, and metals leaching during the biological degradation process. Thus, the mathematical model represents a useful and reliable tool for the design of strategies for valuable metals recovery from waste or mineral materials. Moreover, further numerical simulations were carried out to analyze the interactions between the fermentation and the leaching processes and to maximize the efficiency of metals recovery due to the fermentation by-products.We report a workflow and the output of a natural language processing (NLP)-based procedure to mine the extant metal-organic framework (MOF) literature describing structurally characterized MOFs and their solvent removal and thermal stabilities. We obtain over 2,000 solvent removal stability measures from text mining and 3,000 thermal decomposition temperatures from thermogravimetric analysis data. We assess the validity of our NLP methods and the accuracy of our extracted data by comparing to a hand-labeled subset. Machine learning (ML, i.e. compound library Inhibitor artificial neural network) models trained on this data using graph- and pore-geometry-based representations enable prediction of stability on new MOFs with quantified uncertainty. Our web interface, MOFSimplify, provides users access to our curated data and enables them to harness that data for predictions on new MOFs. MOFSimplify also encourages community feedback on existing data and on ML model predictions for community-based active learning for improved MOF stability models. The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) have a strong association with prognosis in patients with Stage II/III rectal cancer (RC). We attempted to explore a new system combining these two ratios, named the NLM score, and examine its prognostic value in Stage II/III RC patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT). We retrospectively analyzed data of 237 stage II/III RC patients who underwent NCRT followed by standard TME in our hospital and defined the NLM score as follows Score 2 pre-NCRT NLR > 2.565 and pre-NCRT LMR 2.410. Multivariate analyses implied that lower ypTNM stage (stage 0-I vs. II-III) (hazard ratio [HR] 0.420, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.180-0.980 for OS; HR 0.375, 95% CI 0.163-0.862 for DFS) and an NLM score ≤ 1 (HR 0.288, 95% CI 0.134-0.619 for OS; HR 0.229, 95% CI 0.107-0.494 for DFS) could independently predict better overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS). The novel scoring system, which integrated pre-NCRT NLR and pre-NCRT LMR, was an independent prognostic factor in stage II/III RC patients undergoing NRCT and had better predictive values than these ratios alone.Pollinators and pollination services provide invaluable ecosystem services to agriculture and contribute to the maintenance of biodiversity. In Chile, pollination contributes greatly to the diversity of native ecosystems and provides ecosystem services to crops, but local pollinator abundance and diversity, as well as plant-animal interactions, remain poorly understood. We compiled all available information from the published scientific literature on pollinators, flower visitors, and plant-pollinator interactions in Chile and found 120 publications from which we extracted 2619 records. Those records contain locality, habit type, and establishment means of 357 plant species from 83 families. Thus, we built a database compiling information on their pollinators and flower visitors, including information on 492 pollinator species from 97 families and 13 orders. Our database provides the first systematisation of information about pollinators and pollination in Chile. This country relies heavily on pollinators both for its agricultural industry and its unique and highly endemic biodiversity. This information can be reused in future studies and would contribute significantly to pollinator conservation strategies.Reactive glucose degradation products (GDPs) are formed during heat sterilization of glucose-containing peritoneal dialysis fluids (PDFs) and may induce adverse clinical effects. Long periods of storage and/or transport of PDFs before use may lead to de novo formation or degradation of GDPs. Therefore, the present study quantified the GDP profiles of single- and double-chamber PDFs during storage. Glucosone, 3-deoxyglucosone (3-DG), 3-deoxygalactosone (3-DGal), 3,4-dideoxyglucosone-3-ene (3,4-DGE), glyoxal, methylglyoxal (MGO), acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) were quantified by two validated UHPLC-DAD methods after derivatization with o-phenylenediamine (dicarbonyls) or 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (monocarbonyls). The PDFs were stored at 50 °C for 0, 1, 2, 4, 13, and 26 weeks. The total GDP concentration of single-chamber PDFs did not change considerably during storage (496.6 ± 16.0 µM, 0 weeks; 519.1 ± 13.1 µM, 26 weeks), but individual GDPs were affected differently. 3-DG (- 82.6 µM) and 3-DGal (- 71.3 µM) were degraded, whereas 5-HMF (+ 161.7 µM), glyoxal (+ 32.2 µM), and formaldehyde (+ 12.4 µM) accumulated between 0 and 26 weeks. Acetaldehyde, glucosone, MGO, and 3,4-DGE showed time-dependent formation and degradation. The GDP concentrations in double-chamber fluids were generally lower and differently affected by storage. In conclusion, the changes of GDP concentrations during storage should be considered for the evaluation of clinical effects of PDFs.
