sporadic angiolipoma rupture and hemorrhage. When the score is higher than 6 points, the probability of hamartoma rupture and hemorrhage is significantly increased and early intervention is needed.Introduction Psoriasis vulgaris (PV) is a chronic, painful, disfiguring, and disabling dermatological disease, which affects the physical and mental health of patients and impacts their quality of life. Current conventional systemic therapies can be costly, present risks of side effects, have limited efficacy and commonly recur following treatment cessation. Some Chinese herbal medicine therapies have shown therapeutic benefits for psoriasis vulgaris, including relieving symptoms and improving quality of life, and a potential of reducing relapse rate. However, explicit evidence has not yet been obtained. Methods and analysis This is a pilot randomized controlled trial with the objective of investigating the effect of Jia Wei Liang Xue Xiao Feng San granules on relapse rate of recurrent PV and the correlation between Psoriasis area severity index (PASI) and key psoriasis-related cytokine changes and the number of cells. A total of 102 participants were recruited for this study, including 72 patients with recuristry (ChiCTR1900022766).Postoperative delirium (PD), characterized by acute onset of global impairment in consciousness and cognition, is a common complication following major surgeries and is often associated with adverse outcomes. Because of the multiple comorbidities of the patient along with extensive nature of the surgery, patients undergoing surgery for bone metastases may be prone to developing PD. However, no study exists regarding PD in patients who undergo surgery for bone metastases. Two hundred seventy six patients with mean age of 64 years (range, 16-94) who underwent surgery for bone metastases were reviewed. The diagnosis of PD was made by the psychiatrist, according to fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Possible perioperative clinic-pathologic factors that may be associated with the development of PD were investigated.Among the 276 patients, 9% (n = 25) developed PD. On multivariate logistic regression analysis, history of psychiatric disorders (odds ratio [OR] = 9.63; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.78-21.74, P = .004), high preoperative serum C-reactive protein (CRP) level (OR = 1.17; 95% CI 1.06-1.29, P = .001), low preoperative serum albumin level (OR = 0.13; 95% CI 0.03-0.48, P = 0.002), and high dose of opioid analgesics received in the immediate postoperative period (OR = 1.05; 95% CI 1.01-1.07, P = .001) were independently associated with the development of PD. Patients with PD had lower survival (log rank, P = .001) than patients without PD.Incidence of PD is considerable in patients undergoing surgery for bone metastases. History of psychiatric disorders, preoperative serum albumin and CRP levels, and the dose of postoperative opioid analgesics are associated with the development of PD.Background This study will specifically investigate the effect of butylphthalide on hemodynamics in patients with watershed stroke (WS). Methods We will search the following databases from their inceptions to the March 1, 2020 Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure. All relevant randomized controlled trials on exploring the effect of butylphthalide on hemodynamics in patients with WS will be considered for inclusion. No language limitation will be imposed to this study. All study quality will be checked using Cochrane risk of bias tool. RevMan 5.3 software will be utilized for data analysis. Results This study will summarize the latest evidence to investigate the effect of butylphthalide on hemodynamics in patients with WS. Conclusion Findings from this study will provide theoretical basis of butylphthalide on hemodynamics in patients with WS for clinician and future research. Dissemination and ethics This study is carried out based on the published data, thus, no ethical approval is required. We will submit this study to a peer-reviewed journal for publication. Several guidelines recommend the combination of pyrimethamine, sulfadiazine, and leucovorin as the preferred regimen for AIDS-associated toxoplasma encephalitis. However, it is not commonly used in China due to limited access to pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine. The synergistic sulfonamides tablet formulation is a combination of trimethoprim (TMP), sulfadiazine and sulfamethoxazole (SMX), and is readily available in China. Considering its constituent components, we hypothesize that this drug may be used as a substitute for sulfadiazine and TMP-SMX. We have therefore designed the present trial, and propose to investigate the efficacy and safety of synergistic sulfonamides combined with clindamycin for the treatment of toxoplasma encephalitis. Methods/design This study will be an open-labeled, multi-center, prospective, h 22, 2019.Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) typically shows a strong uptake of F-fludeoxyglucose (FDG) imaged by positron emission tomography (PET). Uncommonly, PCNSL demonstrates a low uptake on FDG PET. Enzalutamide chemical structure We investigated the clinicopathological characteristics of the unusual cases of PCNSL with low FDG uptake. We retrospectively enrolled 104 consecutive patients with newly diagnosed PCNSL who underwent baseline brain FDG PET. The degree of FDG uptake of PCNSL was visually scored by 4 grades (0, ≤contralateral white matter; 1, >contralateral white matter and contralateral gray matter). Grades 0-2 were considered as PCNSL with low uptake. We investigated association of low uptake of PCNSL with the following clinicopathological factors age, sex, steroid treatment, lactate dehydrogenase level, cerebrospinal fluid protein level, condition of PET scanning, immunohistochemical markers (cluster of differentiation 10 [CD10], B-cell lymphoma 6 [BCL-6], B-cell lymphoma 2 [BCL-2], multiple myeloma oncogene 1 [MUM1], Epstein-Barr virus [EBV] protein, and Ki67), location of lesions, tumor size, multiplicity of lesions, involvement of deep brain structures, and cystic or necrotic appearance of lesions.Of the 104 patients with PCNSL, 14 patients (13.5%) showed PCNSL with low FDG uptake on PET. Among various clinicopathological factors, MUM1 negativity was the only factor associated with low FDG uptake PCNSL by univariate (P = .002) and multivariate analysis (P = .007).This study suggests that the different clinicopathological characteristics between patients with high uptake and low uptake of PCNSL on FDG PET is closely associated with lack of MUM1, a protein known to be a crucial regulator of B-cell development and tumorigenesis. Background This study will investigate the diagnostic accuracy of Ki67 expression in colorectal cancer (CC). Methods A comprehensive search in electronic bibliographic databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure) will be performed from inception to the February 29, 2020 with no restrictions to the language and publication status. Two authors will examine the collected studies, extract essential data, and appraise study quality separately. If possible, we will estimate receiver operating characteristic (ROC), sensitivity and specificity by utilizing bivariate random effects and hierarchical summary ROC models. Results This study will summarize present evidence to explore the diagnostic accuracy of Ki67 expression in CC. Conclusion The findings of this study will clarify the diagnostic accuracy of Ki67 expression in CC. Acupuncture safely protects the heart from ischemic injury; however, the efficacy of acupuncture for periprocedural myocardial injury after PCI remains unclear. Methods Seven databases in English and Chinese including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang Database will be searched. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that use acupuncture to treat PCI-related myocardial injury in patients with CAD, regardless of blinding. The crossover randomized trials will be included, but only the pre-crossover data will be analyzed to avoid carryover effects. We will exclude non-RCTs, qualitative studies, uncontrolled clinical trials, and laboratory studies. The measurement of concentration of cardiac troponin (T or I) and MB isoenzyme of creatine kinase will be used as primary outcome. Postprocedural cardiac function and the major adverse cardiac/cerebrovascular event rate will be assessed as secondary outcome. Relevant data were collected independently by 2 reviewers and the third reviewer was responsible for resolving discrepancies through discussion. The Review Manager V.5.3.3 s will be used to perform the data synthesis and subgroup analysis. Discussion This systematic review and meta-analysis would provide convincing evidence of various types of acupuncture that specifically focuses on cardioprotective effect of acupuncture on PCI-related myocardial injury. To date, there has been no effective treatment specifically for hiccups. Herein, we report 2 cases with intractable or persistent hiccups that were successfully treated with extracranial acupuncture. Patient concerns The first case is a 46-year-old woman who presented with a 7-year history of intractable hiccups that had worsened over the past 3 years. She also complained of chest tightness, dyspnea, palpitations, dreaminess, dysphoria, intolerance of cold, and hypohidrosis. The second case is a 75-year-old man who presented with a 7-day history of persistent hiccups and hematemesis for 3 hours. The patient's persistent hiccups were treated using traditional Chinese acupuncture, but the patient reported no remarkable benefit. Diagnoses They were diagnosed as intractable or persistent hiccups. Interventions They were treated with extracranial acupuncture. Outcomes The hiccups completely disappeared. During the follow-up period, the hiccups did not reappear. Lessons According to neural balance theory, an episode of the hiccups is caused by an imbalance of the nervous system. Extracranial acupuncture in the area adjacent to the external occipital protuberance affects the intracranial nervous system, which can effectively control the hiccups. Our study provides a new approach to the treatment of hiccups.
