To perform a systematic review of oncologic outcomes and effectiveness of salvage therapies in men with a detectable PSA level after RP.
A systematic review was performed in May 2020. A total of 2374 articles were screened, and 25 studies including 5217 men were selected and included in the systematic review according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines.
PSA persistence was most commonly defined as PSA >0.1 ng/ml. PSA persistence was significantly correlated with disease aggressiveness and associated with worse oncologic outcomes than in men with undetectable PSA levels. The 5-yr recurrence-free survival rates varied from 21.5% to 67.0%. The ≥10-yr cancer-specific survival was 75-88%. Salvage radiotherapy ± androgen deprivation therapy was associated with improved survivalotherapy might improve survival outcomes. Further research into the role of molecular imaging and genomic classifier is needed in this patient population.

There are limited numbers of available retrospective studies on various hematological diseases treated with stem cell mobilization therapy. In the present study, we aimed to demonstrate the effects of serum lipid levels on peripheral blood CD34+ (PBCD34+) cell counts as well as the changes in serum lipid levels during stem cell mobilization process.
PBCD34+ cell counts were compared between hypercholesterolemic patients and healthy individuals. Additionally, total cholesterol (TChol), LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C), HDL-cholesterol (HDL-C), and triglyceride (TG) levels were measured from healthy donors who underwent stem cell mobilization, at different time points (prior to filgrastim [phase 1], prior to apheresis [phase II], and the first week following apheresis [phase III].
In the hypercholesterolemia group, the PBCD34+ cell count was found to be higher among patients with elevated LDL-C (2.6 ± 0.35/μL vs. 1.7 ± 0.17/μL, p = 0.003) and TChol (2.6 ± 0.34/μL vs. link= Epigenetic inhibitor 1.7 ± 0.14/μL, p = 0.006) in comparison to the healthy controls. In the mobilization group, phase II HDL-C levels (35.3 ± 2.8 mg/dL) were found to be lower than both phase I (45.6 ± 2.1 mg/dL) and phase III (44.5 ± 2.6 mg/dL) (p = 0.007). Phase II TChol levels (183.5 ± 10.0 mg/dL) were lower than both phase I (216.8 ± 8.5 mg/dL) and phase III (212.2 ± 8.4 mg/dL) (p = 0.02). At phase II, there was an inverse correlation between PBCD34+ cell count and HDL-C (r = - 0.57, p = 0.003).
Our results indicate that, while increased LDL-C level is the determinant of baseline PBCD34+ cell count, reduced HDL-C is the determinant of PBCD34+ cell count during mobilization process.

Data on convalescent plasma therapy (CPT) in patients of hematological malignancies with severe Covid-19 is scarce.
To study 14-day mortality in patients who received CPT.
Retrospective multicentre observational study conducted in 4 centres treating haematological malignancies across Delhi-national capital region. Total 33 haematological malignancies patients with severe Covid-19 who received CPT were analysed.
The median age of the study cohort was 62 years (18-80 years). Twenty one percent patients had 1 comorbidity, 18 % had 2 comorbidities and 6% patients had 3 and 5 comorbidities each. Twenty four patients were on active therapy. Sixty nine percent of patients required ICU stay. Twenty five patients received plasma therapy within 7 days (early) of diagnosis of Covid-19 infection. Median day of plasma infusion from date of diagnosis of Covid-19 infection was 4 days (range 2-25 days). Patient who had early initiation of plasma therapy had shorter duration of hospitalisation (12.7 vs 24.3 days, p = 0.000). Epigenetic inhibitor Overall mortality in the cohort was 45.5%. There was no effect of disease status, active therapy, presence of comorbidity on mortality. There was no difference in the mortality in patients receiving early vs late initiation of plasma therapy or in patients receiving one versus two plasma therapy.

To demonstrate the efficacy and safety of ultrasound guided leukocyte-rich platelet-rich plasma (LR-PRP) injection in patients with pes anserinus tendinobursitis (PATB).
A prospective, randomized and single-blinded study of 60 patients with PATB were randomly assigned into 2 groups. Whereas 2 mL LR-PRP injection was applied to one grup, once accompanied by ultrasonography (USG), 2 mL LR-PRP injection was applied to the other group accompanied by USG twice with a one-week interval. Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), 6-minute walking test (6MWT), Likert Scale were evaluated pre-treatment, at the 4th and 12th weeks after treatment.
There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of age, gender, body mass index, duration of symptoms, affected side. When both groups are compared within themselves before and after treatment, there was a significant improvement in all VAS, in all WOMAC subgroups, 6MWT, at the 4th and 12th weeks after treatment. When the two groups are compared with each other, there was no statistical difference. In addition, when all patients were evaluated with Likert scale in the 12th week after treatment, complete healing in 22(36.7 %) patients, significant relief in 25(41.7 %) patients, mild relief in 4(6.7 %) patients, 5(8.3 %) same as before treatment patients, and worsened pain in 4(6.7 %) patients were seen.

We report a case of a 59-year-old-man presented with symptomatic anaemia secondary to upper gastrointestinal bleed with haemoglobin level of 68 g/L who required two units of packed red blood cells. He was previously grouped as O Rh D positive and had a history of uneventful multiple blood transfusions. His latest pre-transfusion investigations showed ABO discrepancy between forward and reverse blood grouping, pan-agglutination in both antibody screening and identification with negative direct Coombs test and autocontrol. Further testing including anti-H lectin test and saliva secretor study confirmed that the patient blood group was para-Bombay B RhD positive. This case highlights that the para-Bombay phenotype can be mistakenly labelled as "O" if further investigations are not performed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the second-look arthroscopic evaluation after osteochondral autogenous transfer (OAT) for osteochondral lesion of the talar dome (OLT) with the criteria of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS).
Ten patients (twelve ankles) with OLT underwent OAT with osteotomy of the medial malleolus. link3 Clinical outcomes were evaluated using the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle-hindfoot scale. link3 The condition of the transplanted cartilage was evaluated at the time of second-look arthroscopy using the ICRS Cartilage Repair Assessment.
The AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale was significantly improved from 65.1 ± 1.9 points before surgery to 98.1 ± 2.8 points at the time of second-look arthroscopy (p < 0.01). The ICRS Cartilage Repair Assessment was 11.4 points on average (9-12 points).
The OAT for OLT is considered to be a useful treatment even if invasion by medial malleolus osteotomy is added.

The aim of this study was to clarify the anatomical features of the interosseous tarsometatarsal ligaments of foot and to classify their types based on the combinations of their ligamentous components.
Fifty feet from 27 adult Korean cadavers were dissected.
The interosseous tarsometatarsal ligaments were observed in the first, second, and third cuneometatarsal joint spaces. The interosseous tarsometatarsal ligament of the first cuneometatarsal space consistently connected the medial cuneiform and the second metatarsal, and was accompanied by one or two accessory ligaments above (34%) and/or below (6%) the Lisfranc ligament. The interosseous tarsometatarsal ligaments of the second and third cuneometatarsal joint spaces comprised seven and five components, and were classified into five and three types depending on the number and combination of the components, respectively.
These results are expected to advance the current knowledge on the tarsometatarsal joint and provide helpful information for more accurate and successful diagnosis and treatment of lesions at this joint.

This study aims to report the experience at mid- to long-term results of an original joint-preserving surgical technique.
Patients affected by mild to moderate hallux valgus deformity and associated to grade 1-2 OA and treated with modified Simple-Effective-Rapid-Inexpensive (SERI) technique from 2008 to 2018 were selected. Inclusion criteria were mild or moderate hallux valgus angle (HVA) <40° and an intermetatarsal angle (IMA) <20° and associated grade 1-2 OA of the first metatarso-phalangeal joint (MTPJ).
