Cheat Codes
Note: The following procedures involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "diff_easy.cfg", "diff_normal.cfg", or "diff_hard.cfg" file in the "crysisgameconfig" directory to enable cheat mode and the console window on the Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty. Add the line "con_restricted = 0" to the file, then press ~ while playing the game to display the console window. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Alternately, add one of the following codes to the "diff_easy.cfg", "diff_normal.cfg", or "diff_hard.cfg" file in the "crysisgameconfig" directory to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Developer mode
Start the game with the "-DEVMODE" command line parameter. Then while playing the game, press one of the following keys to activate the corresponding cheat function:

Faster start
To start the game without the introduction videos, rename the following files in the "CrysisGameLocalizedVideo" directory: "Trailer_NVidia.sfd", "Trailer_Intel.sfd", "Trailer_EA.sfd", "Trailer_CrytekC.sfd", and "Trailer_Crytek.sfd".

Defeating Alien Troopers
Use the following trick to kill Alien Troopers without shooting. When the Alien Troopers jump in the air and levitate shortly doing nothing, they are about to charge at you, which may kill you in one hit. When they do this, move out of the way. When they charge and miss, there will be a moment where they are idle. Run up to them, grab, and throw them. This may be slightly difficult at certain angles. The moment you throw them they will die. Note: This was done on the Easy difficulty setting.

Defeating KPA soldiers
When you attack while in Cloak mode, you instantly lose all your energy. Instead, enable Armor mode (not Strength mode as this takes up energy when you attack), quickly shoot a soldier in the head, then go back to Cloak mode. They will not see you, and you will still have all your energy (you may even gain 1 to 3%). While you are transitioning to Armor mode, you will have a few seconds where you are still invisible to the enemy, which allows you to adjust if you are sniping. Even if you reach your time limit where you are invisible after turning off Cloak mode, you can still shoot around and might get away with not being seen as they sometimes panic and move around too much to notice you. You can use this to stay in a stationary location the A.I. does not touch and easily take out a large group, such as the area directly below a watch tower.
