At this point Okonkwo is planning for his date with Chi in this to-do list, where we also get a glimpse of Okonkwo's personality and daily life. We can see Okonkwo has a lot of authority as the man in the household like how he plans to order his wives around for his date, and also his fear of showing emotions like when he doesn't want to buy too many flowers for Chi or truly ask Obierika for relationship advice. We can also see that there are growing problems in his relationship as he begins getting used to Chi always being there for him, and wants her to be at the wrestling match and the clan meeting.
Things begin to go wrong when Chi reads a Buzzfeed that warns about the signs that you should break up with your loved one, and worries that Okonkwo and her relationship is unhealthy. She recognizes some of the signs like Okonkwo taking over the relationship, having too many expectations from her abilities, and using her for attention. Because she still wants the relationship to work, she wants Okonkwo to fix some of his habits in order to save their relationship.
