We are writing this letter in support of inmate Rodney Wayne Hodges TDCJ#01859868. We are Rodney Hodges two sisters, Cindy Lowke of Arlington, Texas and Tricia Olson of Southlake, Texas. Cindy is a stay at home Mom to two children. Tricia is also a stay at home Mom to four children. We have always had a close relationship with our brother and his four children. Let us start by telling you we believe and support Rodney in getting through this very difficult time in his life. Rodney has an amazing support system in his family. We see and talk to Rodney on a regular basis. Rodney has shown tremendous strength and leadership while being incarcerated. He has accepted responsibility for his actions and will do whatever it takes to never go through this again. We have seen him grow through this experience as we all have.
Rodney has provided help and support to many other inmates, while leading prayer groups during his incarceration. Every place he has been moved to he has always been recognized for his character, kindness, and peaceful demeanor by being asked to become a trustee at Comal County Jail, offered jobs very quickly upon arrival at Travis County State Jail and The Holliday Unit. This is the first time Rodney has ever been in trouble in his life, so this experience has been very shocking to his mind and body. We know how much Rodney wants to go back to work and move forward with his life. He wants to be there for his four children as he always has been. They need their father to continue to help guide them. He has always been a huge part of their lives and it is now they need him the most. To be separated from your children is extremely difficult on both sides. We as sisters try to guide the children all we can, but we are not their Dad. Their Dad is the most important person in their lives.
