1. SANDI DATAR
Sandi yang pengerjaannya mirip dengan Sandi Napoleon, memerlukan kertas untuk mencorat-coret.
Contoh : TIYL CSHS HSPO LWME ICTG AIIV SROY STSE dengan kunci 8D.
Kunci di dalam sandi menunjukkan berapa huruf yang harus disusun searah horizontal. Karena tulisannya 8D, maka menyusun huruf-huruf tadi jadi 8 ke samping kanan, seperti ini :
TIYLCSHS
HSPOLWME
ICTGAIIV
SROYSTSE
Cara membacanya dari atas ke bawah, lalu kembali ke atas. Maka hasilnya akan menjadi: THIS IS CRYPTOLOGY CLASS WITH MISS EVE.
2. SANDI SUNGAI
Menggunakan kata kunci, tabel 5x8, dan penyusunan alfabet yang tidak berulang.
Contoh : WYBBA, huruf B tak perlu diterjemahkan dua kali.

Jadi, WYBBA artinya adalah HELLO.
3. SANDI MERAH PUTIH
Menggunakan tabel dan koordinat, cara mengerjakannya membaca dari baris kemudian kolom.
Contoh :
C ada di baris P, kolom R. Maka C adalah PR.
L ada di baris T kolom E, maka L adalah TE.
A adalah PM dan S adalah IA.
Jadi sandi merah putih untuk CLASS adalah PR TE PM IA IA.
