(Millie) This one’s perfect, and it’s just my size.
(Sadie) See? Dreams really do come true!

(Sadie) Speaking of, how does this look?!
(You) that dress is so pretty.
(millie) Stunning! Let’s try em on.
They run off to try on the dresses, leaving me in my thoughts. I can’t believe I’m shopping and hanging out with Millie and Sadie. My life has changed so much. I feel like they’re really close, hopefully I can grow to fit in. I’m not that interesting, I’m not a model. They seemed to find the perfect dress right away, one they’ll look amazing in. I scan the racks. All of these, they’re pretty, but I can’t imagine myself in them. None look like me.
Millie and Sadie come out of the fitting rooms looking gorgeous in their dresses. I smile at them but a frown lies underneath. I sit down and about to cry.
(Millie) Heyyyy what’s wrong y/n?
(Y/n) It’s so hard to fit in and please people. I don't know if I can do this.
(Sadie) You’re not alone Y/n, I was the same way.
(Millie) Don’t try to fit in, Y/n, you’re amazing as you are! And I think once people see you, your incredible acting and you in general people will love you.
(Y/n) Thanks guys, but people are going to judge me a lot. None of these dresses makes me feel like me. Looking at these makes me kind of sad to be honest.
(Sadie) hey now Y/n, the first step to pleasing people is pleasing yourself first. Only wear what you love, not just because the crowd wants you to. When you are confident in your own skin and love what you wear, they’ll love you. Fitting in is being yourself. No one wants clones.
(You) Thank you Sadie.
We all hug.
(Millie) Want to give the dresses one more look?
(You) I’d thought you’d never ask.
We look through the racks of the black dresses.
(Sadie) How about this Y/n?
I shake my head. Too lacy.
(Millie) Y/n look!!
(You) It’s pretty but…
Something catches my eye as I look down. In the black section, a deep blue hangs down. I pull it off the rack. I love it. It’s black and fades to blue at the bottom. I go up to the register.
(You) I’d like to buy this dress, please.
