Werewolf, merupakan manusia yang bila pada malam bulan purnama akan berubah menjadi serigala yang buas. Jika menjadi werewolf, mereka akan mencari mangsa karena kehilangan akal sehatnya.
Penyihir atau muggle harus berhati-hati. Karena jika menggigit muggle, maka muggle itu akan mati. Sementara jika menggigit penyihir, masih bisa diobati.
Penyebab seseorang berubah menjadi werewolf ialah virus Lycantrophy. Obat untuk mengobati penyihir yang tergigit oleh Werewolf ialah campuran bubuk perak dan dittany yang bisa langsung dioleskan pada luka. Tetapi, bekas gigitannya akan tetap permanen meskipun obat ini dapat menutup luka dengan cepat.
Werewolf tidak akan sadar jika mereka berubah menjadi Werewolf. Mereka akan lupa dengan semua yang terjadi saat mereka menjadi Werewolf. Jangan salah, sampai-sampai, sahabat pun dapat terbunuh.
Sampai sekarang obat untuk Lycantrophy belum didapatkan. Jika meminum Wolfsbane Potion pun, hanya beberapa efek buruk akan berkurang. Wolfsbane sendiri, termasuk ramuan yang susah dibuat, bahannya juga susah dicari.
Cara membedakan Werewolf yaitu dengan membedakan karakteristiknya, seperti pupil mata, bentuk moncong, dan ekor rumbai.
