Minecraft Challenges

Blow up things with TNT
Whether you're in creative or survival mode, it's always fun to blow up things with TNT.

Build a boat and sail the seas
Whether you want to role play as a pirate or just want to reach another island, it's always fun to get there by a boat because you never know what you may find.

Build a cobblestone generator
Cobblestone generators are a great way to get a lot of cobblestone quickly.

Build a city
Building a city will take a long time depending on how complex it is but if you're truly bored this is a great way to kill time!

Acquire a full chest with stacks of diamond blocks
Diamonds are always useful, it's better to have too much than not enough.

Kill every mob at least once
This one isn't that useful, but it's a fun challenge to find and kill every mob!

Get all achievements!
Whether you're playing on your Xbox, PC, Playstation, tablet or even your Smartphone there are a lot of achievements to get!

Build a tower to the sky limit
There are a few reasons why you may want to build a tower to the sky limit such as: To watch over your world, estimate if you have enough space to build something or even to build a sky city!

Build An Animal Farm
Animal farms are extremely useful because you can breed animals and then collect their resources, therefore you will have unlimited resources such as wool etc.

Kill the Ender Dragon
If you want to feel as if you've completed something in Minecraft then killing the ender dragon is a great way to do so. Once you've killed the ender dragon you will have completed one of the hardest things to do in Minecraft!

Craft all wooden tools
Crafting all wooden tools is a great way to save resources because you can have an unlimited amount of wood by constantly growing trees.

Craft all stone tools
Crafting all stone tools is a great to save resources because you can easily have unlimited cobblestone by making a cobblestone generator.

Craft all Iron tools
Crafting all Iron tools is extremely useful because they have decent durability and you can mine most ores with it!

Craft all golden tools
Golden tools are useful for getting resources quicker, but should be conserved until absolutely necessary because they wear out quickly.

Craft all diamond tools
Diamond tools are the best tools you can get in Minecraft as they have great durability and can collect all resources much quicker!

Build a mob grinder
Mob grinders are always great to have because they're very useful when it comes to resources. For example, if you make a Skeleton grinder you can have unlimited bones which can be used craft bone meal and then you can use that bone meal to grow trees faster.
You can also use bones to tame wolves as your pets :)

Build a tree house
Tree houses are always a great idea because you can easily spy on nearby enemies!

Find an NPC village
Looking for NPC villages is always fun and useful because once you've found one you can just steal all their resources or can start your base there and expand it into a huge village!

Go fishing
Fishing is very useful because you need food to replenish your food bar and then that replenishes your health! Also fishing is fun anyway, so you might as well do something fun and useful/productive at the same time!

Build a different house each time using every block in Minecraft
This idea may not be that useful, but it's something fun to do when you're bored as it's unique!

Build your own underground subway system
Subway systems are a great way to get around, maybe you have built multiple cities and want to get to them quickly, this is a great way to do so!

Plant a tree in the nether
1 Tree now, 100 later. Sooner or later the nether will look like a much brighter place :)

Ride a pig and see where it takes you
Pigs can wander anywhere, so if you want to find somewhere/something interesting/new try riding a pig for about 30 minutes and see where it takes you! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Dig straight down
Digging straight down is the number 1 rule that you shouldn't do because you may end up falling to your death or burning in lava for example.
Sometimes it is good to dig straight down though because you might find a cave system to explore or even something more special if you're lucky!

Start a mine!
Mines are a great way to find valuable resources such as iron, gold and diamonds etc.

Start a food farm
Starting a food farm has many benefits as you will have unlimited food such as watermelons and carrots etc.

Tame a wolf
Wolves are great pets as they can help you fight off mobs such as zombies and skeletons!

Create a wolf army!
What's better than having 1 wolf? 100 wolves! With this many wolves, anything that comes even remotely close to you is going to have a bad day!

Build an underground base
Building an underground base is a great idea because if you're on a multiplayer server, for example, it will be a lot harder for other players to find your base unless they see your name tag of course, so try to make it really deep underground!

Build a dock
Docks are always a great way to have a boat waiting for you every time you want to travel the seas instead of building a new one every time!

Start a forest fire
Starting a forest fire can easily clear out a lot of land quickly, this can be done for fun or to clear out a large area for building!

Build an underground tree farm
Don't you hate those times where you don't have a bed and need to go out and get some wood but end up getting hurt/killed? Well if you build an underground tree farm, there's no risk of getting hurt or killed! Providing you light up the area properly of course!

Build pixel art!
Pixel art is a great way to show off your building skills and overall it's fun to make pixel art!

Build a secret room
The good thing about secret rooms is that you can easily hide away your valuable items.

Make music
Collect all the records

Make a snow golem
Snow golems are great bodyguards as they throw snowballs at your enemies!

Make a snow golem army!
With a snow golem army you will be invincible and you can also turn any biome into a snow biome!

Colour sheep
Colouring sheep can become very useful if you choose to build pixel art, for example and need a specific colour!

Build an underwater base
An underwater base is great for multiplayer servers as it will be harder for other players to find your base.

Build a spaceship
If you have nothing else to build, a spaceship is a great thing to build! You can even have a competition with your friends to see who can build the best spaceship!

Build a Base in the sky
Building a Base in the sky is a great way to hide on multiplayer servers, unless they look up of course!

Capture one of each mob (Gotta catch em all!)
This one is fairly easy because all you have to do is find one of each mob, lead them back to your base and then trap them in a hole or pen.

Make a human launching TNT cannon
Human cannons are a great way of transportation as you can reach any distance/height, providing you have enough TNT!

Make a full set of Leather, Golden, Chain, Iron and Diamond Armour
All sets of armour have different durability and defence so it's best to use weaker armours on weaker mobs and stronger armour on stronger mobs.

Craft every item at least once
This is actually a really useful thing to do because you never know what you may need in the future!

Hold your own firework show with all your friends!
This one does require a lot of time depending on how many fireworks you want, but once you've set up all of the fireworks you can sit back and enjoy the show!

Attempt a 360 no scope with a bow
It's actually really hard to do because it's harder to aim and the mob is constantly moving.

Find a mine shaft
Mine shafts are great for finding loot, you can find anything from bread to diamond equipment.

Find a Jungle temple
Jungle temples are great for finding valuable loot, such as diamonds and emeralds

Find all biomes
Finding all biomes can give you a great advantage because in each biome there's something new to find, such as jungle biomes have temples, Ice plains have oak trees and extreme hills has emerald ores!

Build a shooting range
Shooting ranges are a great way to improve your skills on Minecraft, this will come in handy when you're in a battle with a skeleton or an enemy player on a multiplayer server.

Build a 50 x 50 castle with at least 3 or more floors
Castles are always great to build, you could do a little bit of roleplaying and have a war with a friend? The reason why I said for your castle to have at least 3 floors is so that it will take longer to build and you can release your creative side!

Build a working lighthouse (No Mods)
Lighthouses are great to see where your house is from a distance, I recommend that you build one as soon as possible!

Build an elevator
Elevators are great ways to get to higher areas such as tree houses or sky bases?

Build a museum and showcase every item in the game
Earlier I talked about getting all items in Minecraft, why not showcase them in your very own museum!

Create a diving board from the top of the map to bedrock and try to jump in a 2 x 2 hole
which is at least 5 blocks deep and survive!
This will be really hard to do because as you're falling you tend to move around a little bit.

Go mining
Not just plain old mining. This is a race. Record how much iron, coal, iron, gold, redstone, emeralds, lapis lazuli, flint, obsidian and of course, diamond you can obtain in one hour.

Find a stronghold using the traditional way: Eyes of Ender (no cheating!)

Build yourself an Ender City. Houses for or against Endermen? Your call!

While you're at it, try to defeat the Ender Dragon using only snowballs or eggs.

Build massive walls of fire around mobs. We understand what happens when they try to escape (Muahaha!)

Go skydiving! (In survival mode, of course)

Build a TNT enclosure, trap mobs inside. KABOOM!

Try to kill 50 zombies in just one night.

Heal 10 zombie villagers in one night.
