Faith is like a ceiling fan. When you look at a ceiling fan, you just see the fan and not the air it’s blowing, right? But, you know that air is coming out because you can feel it. Faith is kind of like that. You can’t see God, but having faith is knowing and feeling and believing that he’s there. Believing that there is someone greater to help you through tough times.

11Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged over this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you tell me which of us is for the king of Israel?” 12One of his servants said, “No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.” 13So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and take him.” And it was told him, saying, “Behold, he is in Dothan.” 14He sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.

15Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD and said, “Strike these people with blindness, I pray.” So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 19Then Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, nor is this the city; follow me and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” And he brought them to Samaria.

God has a way of turning impossible circumstances around for your protection. He is a God of the impossible.
When we exercise our faith, the Lord opens our eyes and we begin to see things that we could not see prior. Scripture says that without Faith, it is impossible to please God. When we embrace the Faith already in us, God in His greatest desire reaches out to please us.

Elisha’s servant saw an army of angels on the hills outside ready to protect them from the army of Aram.
The servant wasn’t scared anymore.

With Ceiling fans, Faith can be a more understandable concept. We already believe in the unseen. The question now is: Will we tap into the source of the ceiling fans power, or in this case, faith’s power, so that we can begin to navigate through life?

Today may be smooth for you, or you might be facing an enemy. Open your eyes and your ears and use the story of Elisha.
