1. Pengertian dan isitilah :

D. magnitudo absolut atau adalah magnitudo tampak, m, yang akan dimiliki suatu benda apabila benda tersebut berada pada jarak 10 parsec atau 32.6 tahun cahaya dari bumi.

5. Bintang yang dekat dengan matahari
A. Alpha Centauri adalah bintang paling cerah dalam rasi Centaurus. Alpha Centauri adalah sistem bintang terdekat dari tata surya
B. Proxima Centauri adalah bintang katai merah yang terletak sejauh 4,2 tahun cahaya dari Bumi. Bintang ini adalah bintang terdekat dari Matahari, meskipun terlalu redup untuk dilihat dengan mata telanjang.
C. Bintang Barnard adalah bintang katai merah yang memiliki massa sangat kecil. Terletak sekitar 6 juta tahun cahaya dari Bumi
D. Bintang Sirius adalah bintang paling terang di langit malam, dengan magnitudo tampak −1.47.
