JAWABAN
1. Anjing laut memiliki tubuh besar, licin dan beradaptasi dengan habitat akuatiknya, lalu kaki depannya berukuran besar dan berbentuk seperti sirip, dan tubuhnya menyempit ke belakang yang disebut sebagai tangan.
2. Gajah laut merupakan hewan nokturnal (aktif di malam hari), pada hewan gajah laut jantan memiliki badan yang lebih besar dibanding betinanya. Dan pada gajah laut betina tidak memiliki hidung besar seperti jantannya
3. Ada dua spesies, perbedaannya terletak pada ukuran tubuh.
Gajah laut utara (M. angustirostris) yang hidup di laut Pasifik utara, memiliki tubuh yang lebih kecil dibandingkan gajah laut selatan (M. leonina) yang hidup di sekitar kutub selatan.
4. Perbedaan makanan pada anjing laut dan gajah laut:
Anjing laut dan gajah laut adalah hewan karnivora yang memakan cumi dan ikan, perbedaannya adalah pada jenis anjing laut leopard (Hydrurga leptonyx), ia memakan hewan krill, penguin, dan anjing laut lainnya. Sedangkan gajah laut selatan ia dapat memakan penguin.
5. Anjing laut dimasukkan ke dalam subordo Caniformia.
