1.) Satwa gaib digolongkan berdasarkan 3 kelompok bagian, yaitu:
-Beast
-Being
-Spirit
Selain dibagi dalam 3 kelompok, satwa gaib diklasifikasikan ke dalam 5 tingkatan:
•X: hewan membosankan
•XX: tidak berbahaya dan dapat dipelihara
•XXX: masih dapat ditangani oleh penyihir
•XXXX: hanya dapat ditangani oleh penyihir yang terlatih
•XXXXX: dapat membunuh penyihir, tidak mungkin dipelihara atau dilatih
2.) KKM XXX merupakan kelompok satwa gaib yang masih dapat ditangani oleh penyihir.
3.) Contoh satwa gaib yang masuk dalam KKM XX: Augurey, Chizpurfle, dan Ghoul.
4.) Centaurs berkepala manusia dengan dada dan lengan yang melekat pada tubuh kuda. warnanya bisa bervariasi. pandai dan mampu berbicara. makhluk ini secara tegas tidak ditetapkan sebagai hewan, akan tetapi atas permintaan mereka sendiri.
5.) Centaurs tidak memakai dan/atau memiliki sebuah tongkat sihir untuk melakukan sihir, tapi mereka dikenal memiliki kemampuan dalam magical healing, ramalan, pemanah dan astronomi.
6.) Firenze adalah nama centaur yang pernah mengajar di Hogwarts.
7.) Centaurides adalah sebutan untuk centaur perempuan.
8.) Jika dikonsumsi, jantung kuda centaurus memiliki efek membuat yang memakannya dapat berlari tiga hari tiga malam tanpa rasa lelah.
