Less than a week before her first pay-per-view title defense, the reigning and defending RAW Women's Champion was invited to appear on the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast, in order to be asked a few questions about her time in IWL, and the match at the Royal Rumble. The interview was going to be broadcasted live on the IWL Network, which obviously meant that Lita was supposed to be there 20 minutes early. With the Women's Championship on her left shoulder, she walked into the building where the interview was going to take place, and greeted her old friend. The two sat down and talked about their lives, before soon being let know by the crew that the show was going to start broadcasting live in less than 5 minutes. She was used to being the one interviewed, the one being given the entire spotlight. As the countdown clock was signaling the fact that the podcast was going to start in 10 seconds, Austin put his script down, and Lita took the title off her shoulder and placed it on the table, so that the camera could catch it. Once the podcast went live, the audience was greeted by Stone Cold's introduction.
"Hello IWL fans all around the world and welcome to the Stone Cold podcast, coming to you live on the IWL Network from Phoenix, Arizona. Here on the Stone Cold Podcast, I'm glad to be back in action, Mick Foley was here last month, he did one hell of a job. Nontheless, Good Ol' Stone Cold is back, the toughest SOB to ever stomp a mud hole and walk the ground of the IWL in history. My special guest today is a woman who I've been wanting to talk to for a long time. Her name is Lita, and she is the current RAW Women's Champion. Lita, welcome to the podcast."
She let out a smile, holding a grip onto her championship gold. "Thank you for having me here, it's a honor!"
"How are you and how has it been since you have been a part of the IWL?"
"Honestly, I'm better than ever. It's been great being a part of the IWL roster thus far. Literally, I'm just excited to be a part of it all. Well, I've got to tell you; at first, I was a little bit nervous, hearing stories about the people that were here, so I had no idea how they would respond to a new person coming into the locker room. Truth be told, they never took me as a threat. Quite frankly, at first I felt that neither did the management, but now, I'm the 2 time RAW Women's Champion. Certainly, it isn't the same. Everybody wants this title, everybody wants to fight for it, and despite being a villain on-screen, I'm not called the Queen of Extreme for nothing; I've been in this industry for a very long time. And I am a fighting champion, definetly able to defend this title against anyone at any given time."
"Talk about being a fighting champion; you have said previously that the longest reigning RAW Women's Champion, which you'll be facing this saturday night at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, you said that she never defended her championship, and went so far as calling her the worst champion in IWL history. Do you still feel that way or has your opinion changed a little bit?"
"First of all, what I said, was not an opinion, it was a fact. And second of all, yes, she definetly was the worst champion in IWL history. Everybody expected her to be amazing as a titleholder, but as I've said when I lost this, she was carrying my legacy, and did the worst job possible. And to think that she somehow became the longest reigning RAW Women's Champions? It just makes me sick. It's embarassing, honestly. The only reason that she was given that opportunity to compete against me for the Women's title at No Mercy, when she won the title; it was because of how I carried her during our rivalry. The worst thing coming out of all that is the fact that people call her equal to me, and say that she won the feud. In reality, that feud has just begun."
"You have expressed the fact that you want to walk into Wrestlemania as champion, and defend that title on the grandest stage of them all. Specifically, you mentioned that you wanted to main event against whoever decides to step up. Now, we know that the main event spot isn't given to everybody, but you and Charlotte clearly made history. That makes the fans question if we'll see Lita vs Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania, finally ending this amazing rivalry? I, would honestly hope that it would happen. No other women, except you two, have made as much history in the book of women's wrestling inside of IWL. Yeah, sure, we have recently seen Paige and Beth Phoenix main event Smackdown Live, this week. But you two have main evented a pay-per-view event, in what was ultimately voted the Match of the Year, at Hell In A Cell. What would it mean for you to win at Royal Rumble and walk into Wrestlemania as the reigning champion?"
"Well, it would mean absolutely everything. It is my ultimate goal, and I have made it crystal clear. But the fact of the matter is this, I will walk out of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view the reigning champion, no matter of these women's effort. I am the best thisd IWL women's division has to offer, and if I have to demolish every single woman on the roster in order to make it to Wrestlemania, I will. It's definetly going to be a challenge defeating one of the best female performers that this company has to offer in Charlotte Flair, and the other one; whatever her name is. But I'll do everything in my power to walk out of this Royal Rumble pay-per-view as still, your IWL RAW Women's Champion."
"Actually, you'll also be facing Maryse; who, might I tell you, hasn't been shy in insulting you during several interviews that she had during the week.
