Dear Chris Colfer,
I am just going to start off saying that your books inspired me a lot. Just reading about Alex's compassion and bravery, and Conner's humour, inspired me to be the best person I can. I think, if there's a message in The land of stories it's definitely, as Alex would say, the theme of which is present in virtually every fairy tale ever written, which is to remain a good person with high hopes, to look on the bright side of things, and to always have inner happiness. And I really feel as though you've made the characters come to life through their feelings, with things like Ezmia and the evil queens heartbreak, and Rumpelstiltskins need to impress his brothers. Imagine being able to store your exes in jars! I would really like for you to hurry up and choose one of the companys offering to make a movie because I love the stories so much! I don't mean to be rude but please do. I am an impatient person. I don't mind if you don't write back, which you nearly definitely won't, I don't mind if yo don't read this all, all I ask is that you read a little bit.
The first book, The wishing spell was amazing. After I read it, my longing for that sort of thing to happen to me increased even more. I got lost in the land of stories, reading for hours at a time until I finally had to stop. The way you expressed the characters feelings and described the scene was absolutely exceptional. I felt as though I had fallen from the book myself, you described hem so well.
I got the second book, The enchantress returns immediately from the library, counting down the days till it arrived. I checked every day to see if it had arrived, feeling extremely disappointed when it didn't. I was so desperate to find a free ebook, I spent hours searching the web, but never found any. At last, it arrived at the library.The second book was even better then I expected. I spent all the time I could reading it, and in a few days, it was finished.
At this point, it was my birthday, and so I requester what I always do: Books and book vouchers. I got plenty, and bought the first 3 land of stories books. Even though I hadn't read the third, I knew I'd love it. To this day, I am still reading those three books constantly, loving them every time.
The third book, A grimm warning, was fabulous. The descriptions were more vivid then, ever, and the very first romances started. Conner and Bree, and Alex and Rook, both seemed a pretty good fit, but maybe not.
The fourth book, beyond the kingdoms, was just as good as all the others. In this one, Alex became an outlaw, which took a while to get used to, but still worked. I think it showed that no one, not even Alex, is perfect. She has her flaw, which is her anger and the way she loses control of her magic. It was a great idea to make all those other stories come to life (literally). It was quite sad when Mother Goose chose to stay with Merlin, but it was clear it was what she wanted.
The fifth book was great. The way you made all of Conner's stories come to life opened a whole new world. A few of them, actually. It lived up to all expectations, and the descriptions, as usual, were sensational. Amazing work!
