Oyuncular ilk başta Venezüela atasözünü hatırlayarak, "Hocanın vurduğu yerde karanfil biter" deyip olayı bir süre ailelerine bile anlatmamış. İçlerinden biri kulağına gelen darbe yüzünden doktora gitmiş ama yine sesini çıkarmamış.
Arkadaşım geçmişte Türkiye'de yaşanan örnekleri bildiği için "Bizde olsa olay ortaya çıkar, o koç ceza alırdı ama burası Venezüela... Kim kime, dum duma... Zaten herkesin herkesi her fırsatta tokatladığı bir ülke. Basına bile yansımadan kapandı gitti. Duyduğuma göre olaya sadece takımın bir yabancı oyuncusu tepki vermiş. Sopayı yiyen oyuncular ve aileleri de para uğruna ağızlarını açmıyormuş. Zaten genel menajer de onları bu konuda ciddi şekilde uyarmış." dedi.
