This organization positively impacts the community by collecting and distributing food to families and charities in need.
I was inspired to participate in this because I felt it was the right thing to do. Also because I find this organization to be extremely beneficial to parts of our community so the more helping hands, the better off we'll be as a community.
When I entered 10th grade, I decided that I should expand my horizons, experience new things, and meet new people. Because of this, I joined the Technology Student Association, or TSA, chapter at my school and hesitantly ran for Sergeant-at-Arms. From the very beginning, TSA has been a very demanding, yet sociable club and immediately pushed me out of my comfort zone when I first joined. When I became an officer I was further pushed out of my comfort zone, while at the same time becoming a leader. TSA changed me, and did so for the better. I was no longer that 'shy kid' my friends and family once thought of me. TSA expanded my horizons, and introduced me to new ideas and ways to go about things. Instilled in me were the values and qualities many great leaders possess. And I can definitely say that without TSA I would not be the person I am today.
