Given the relatively low price, I wasn't expecting much from it. However, the hotel fell way short of the standard that I come to expect from Hilton.
The hotel is not properly maintained and staffs are not properly trained
1) The automatic revolving door of the main entrance of the hotel had not been functioning during the entire stay. This is not convenient especially during checking and checkout. I had to drag my own luggage and push the side door open with my body. Hotel concierges and other staffs just stood there and watched.
2) The hotel initially assigned a room with little WIFI signal and lots of NOT functioning power outlets. After speaking with the hotel staff regarding this issue, the hotel provided a functioning room full of cigarette smells despite the fact that I booked a none smoking room.
3) While I think things couldn't get any worse, the hotel proofs me wrong. The breakfast the next morning is definitely the WORST part of the whole experience. Juices they offered already turned bad and had an unpleasant taste. The addressing oil had a fly in it. When I brought those to the attention to nearby hotel staffs, they don't seem to care.
The experience I had at Hilton Chongqing has a huge negative impact on the Hilton brand.
