Only, it turns out, his love, who was a songwriter btw, wasn't saved.
Because she wasn't threatened.
And she had manipulated all of them, so they could die. Just as her father wanted. Well, her father's dead. Died a few months ago. Oh, how she hated to do what he wants, but it's all for the best. As she hummed, and whistled, walking away from the tree after staring at it for the longest time, she tripped. Her sudden yelp of surprise was cut off as her head hit a large rock immersed in the soil and grass. The wind whistled for her in the silence, as she bled out.
