Katak adalah adalah hewan vertebrata yang masuk dalam kelompok amfibi, yaitu hewan yang dapat hidup di dua dunia. Katak memiliki 4 jari dibagian kaki depan dan 5 jari dibagian kaki belakang. Gerakan melompat Katak dipakai untuk menghindari predator, kakinya yang panjang membuatnya bisa melompat 20x Lebih panjang dibanding dengan ukuran tubuhnya.Dan ternyata, Katak sangat terampil dalam berenang, meluncur, memanjat. Kalian pasti tau, bahwa Katak itu dapat ditemukan hampir seluruh belahan dunia. Seperti samudera, gurun, sungai, hutan dan gurun pasir. Katak terbesar di dunia adalah “Goliath”. Goliath ini berasal dari Kamerun, Afrika Barat. Disisi lain, ada juga katak terkecil di dunia. Yaitu spesies dari Brazil (Psyllophryne didactyla) yang panjangnya hanya sekitar 1 cm. Katak itu memiliki gigi untuk mencengkram makanan mereka (bukan mengunyah). Katak termasuk dalam golongan hewan karnivora yang makan berbagai jenis invertebrata,serangga dan hewan kecil lainnya seperti
Jangkrik, Laba-laba, Anak tikus putih, Bekicot, Ikan kecil.
