BLENDER

- is a kitchen and laboratory appliance used to mix, puree, or emulsify food and other substances.
Parts of a Blender and its Functions:
1. Blender Jar Lid
-covers the top of the blender, allowing you to safely operate the blender.

2. Blender Rubber Drive Clutch
- made out of rubber; rests on top of the motor and on bottom of the blade assembly.

3. Bottom Screw Cap
- it holds the blender blade cutter in place during operation.
-without this piece the blade would simply fly off the motor.

4. Motor
-responsible for the spinning of the blender blade cutter; hidden in the base of the blender.

5. Blender Jar
-the container in which ingredients are placed to be crash down by the blender blade cutter.

6. Blender Blade Cutter
-the stainless steel responsible in chopping down foods or any substances in the blender jar.

7. Jar Lid Center Cap
-small plastic thing found in the center of the lid.
-it helps to keep liquids in but also allows you to add ingredients easily.

How to Repair a Food Blender:
Step 1.
-Remove the blender base.

Step 2.
-The multispeed switch will be attached to the base with clips or screws accessed from underneath the base’s faceplate or from inside the base. Visually inspect the switch before removing it; in many case, the problem is a loose terminal. Otherwise, a blackened terminal or wire may identify where the problem has occurred.

Step 3
-Check the multispeed switch with a continuity tester or multitester.

Step 4
- Because of its exposed location on the front of the blender, the switch is susceptible to damage from liquids. Use a can of compressed air or an electrical contact cleaner to clean switch. If necessary, replace it.




Cleaning a Food Blender:
Step 1
Pour water in the blender: Fill your blender pitcher about halfway with hot water form a kettle or the tap.
Step 2
Add dish soap: Add just a drop of dish soap.
Step 3
Turn on the blender: Put the blender pitcher back on the base and hold the lid down with a towel. Turn on the blender and let it run for about 10 seconds.
Step 4
Pour out the hot water and rinse: Rinse out the blender thoroughly with more hot water. Ta-da! You should have a perfectly clean blender with no smoothie, no soup, no pureed baby food left to be scrubbed out.
