INTRODUCTION:
Mahatma Gandhi was one of the greatest men studied in history. His methodology for achieving his objectives led him to gain independence for India from the British on the 15th of August of 1947. Political movements, policies and protests are some of the reasons that were developed throughout the rule of the British. His methodology was simply using peaceful strategies, a weapon that no other figure at the moment has used. Nonetheless Gandhi was not the only factor that influenced in India´s independence, since other external factors were influential such as the Amritsar Massacre, the help given to Britain in WWII.
With Gandhi and other events that had taken place during that period, India was able to achieve their independence from the British Empire that had been settled over that united country.
