Why would Cassio not have the courage to face Othello directly, but instead talk to Desdemona? If Cassio and Othello really are close friends, then he should not be embarrassed and forgiveness should be guaranteed.

Iago is so good at being manipulative. Instead of just telling Othello things, he hints at them and even at one point says he shouldn’t say anything, until Othello forces him to say it. Making it seem like the truth.

Also Emelia helped out with taking Desdemona’s fallen hankerchief (interesting how Iago doesn’t want to do the dirty work himself and instead makes Rodrigo or Emelia do it), so whose side is she on? Is she supportive of what her husband is doing? She obviously knows something is going on.

Why does Othello not confront Desdemona!? Talk to her about it! Before he decides to kill her, he never even gave her a chance to tell her side of the story.

Is their a larger meaning to tie Othello’s epileptic fit and wavering health to his jealousy? Is his jealousy literally making him sick?

Why was Othello removed from command?

Again he makes Rodrigo kill Cassio instead of killing Cassio himself, like he promised Othello. He really doesn’t want to do the dirty work but why? Is it because he is against killing? Or does he want to be further from the crime scene in case someone is on his tail?
