SQL dili veritabanından bilgi çekmek,eklemek,silmek ve düzenlemek için kullandığımız bir dildir.Web veya masaüstü programcılığında kullanılan bir çok uygulama veritabanı ile iletişim için bu dili kullanır.Örneğin siz php ve sql kodlarını kullanarak veritabanı’na bir kayıt gerçekleştirirsiniz ve ziyaretçileriniz bu kaydı okur.Bu kaydın ziyaretçilere gelmesini sql kodları ile sağlarız.Sql ile eklediğimiz bilgilerin her birine bir id numarası vermemiz gerekir ve ve kayıtları listelerken (ziyaretçilere gösterirken) bu id numaralarını kullanırız

Bu kodlar bize 15 numaraları kaydı getirir.Bu kodlar çalışırken araya getirilecek herhangi sql sorgusu ile kötü niyetli kişiler veritabanımıza ulaşarak çeşitli işlemler yapabilirler.Bu aşamada bizim yapmamız gereken işlem GET metodu ile aldığımız id numarasının sadece integer yani sayısal değer olduğunu belirtmek ve zararlı sql kodları içermediğini belirtmektir.Bunu yapmak için GET ile aldığımız id'nin altına aşağıdaki kodu yazabiliriz:

Burada bize gelen id değerinin sadece rakamsal değer taşıdığını ifade ettik. Kodumuzun son hali:
