"Sis, can I have a unicorn?" my little sister said.

"A unicorn? Sorry to burst your bubble Kayla but unicorns don't exist," I replied

"But it does! It does!" Kayla, my little sister screamed at me then runs away to her room.

She's been going like this for awhile and I have no idea what to do. As kids we're all told lies about mystical creatures or things that only exist in our imaginations. My mom used to tell me stories about Santa Claus and I was gullible enough to believe. Story books tell you stories about unicorns, flying fairies and more which in reality those things don't exist. I personally think that those things are not good to tell, however they boost children's imagination.

The next day I went home to see my sister watching the animal channel. When she saw me standing near the doorway, she ran to me.

"Sis! See! See! That's the unicorn! Can I have one?" She shouted ecstatically pointing to the screen.

It was showing about horses. Horses do seem to look like unicorns minus the huge horn and probably wings.

"Do you know? We went to a farm today and I saw a lot of unicorns!" She said.

"Oh really?" I replied, going along with the conversation.

"Yeah! I saw a lot of unicorns there! I saw a white one, a brown one and a black one. Oh! I also got to ride on one! It was so much fun but it's smelly!" She told me.

It was so adorable to see her get so intrigued by unicorns which are actually horses. So the next day after school, I went to the mall to get her a small gift; I went to buy her a toy unicorn. When I got home, she was on the couch reading a book.

"What are you reading Kay?" I asked.

"A book about a family of unicorns," she replied keeping her eye on the book.

"Really? Tell me the story!" I insisted.

"Okay. Once upon a time there was a baby unicorn called Katy. I like the name, it rhymes with my name! And then, she had a fight with her brother who is also a unicorn. But then the mom and dad put them in a small place to be nice to each other again. They finally then become nice to each other again!" She explained.

I wasn't too keen with the story book but she might left bits of the story which helps to build the story. I pulled out the plastic bag out of my school bag and handed it to her. First, she was confused why would I give her a plastic bag but when she opened it, her face glowed. Its wonderful how children react to a gift, their face filled with excitement and joy. It was as if christmas came early and there was lots of presents awaiting to be opened below the Christmas tree.

"AAAAAAHHH ITS SO FLUFFY!!!" She screamed. She looked exactly like the little girl from the movie Despicable Me, when she got a huge unicorn toy from the carnival.

She walked away holding her toy unicorn playing with it leaving me without a simple thank you. I stared at her moving the toy around the living room as if it was flying and galloping between the pillows and furnitures. My mom went in to the living room after a while.

"What's going on here?" She asked. She must have heard Kayla screaming around the room playing with her new toy.

"I bought her a new toy and she's playing with it," I replied.

"What toy?" She asked. She looked to Kayla and saw the toy, "oh! A horse?"

"She thinks it's a unicorn, she convinced herself that it's a unicorn," I said.

She looked confused but not shocked. Ever since I got Kayla a toy, she's been coming up to me telling me stories that she made up. Some were actually really interesting which brought me to shock on how she's able to come up with those type of stories. She once brought to school her toy, for a show and tell. I heard that once she finished her presentation, her friends tried to tell her that it wasn't a unicorn, it was a horse. So many people were arguing with her that she fell and cried.
