I've been training for around 3 years now and it has dramatically changed my life. During school I wasn't exactly a popular kid and would always get bullied about how skinny I was. I remember when I chose to study sport as one of my subjects, and on the first day everyone was pretty much like "What are you doing here? Look at you... you're just skin and bones".
This was the first thing which made me want to change.

At 17 both of my lungs collapsed (most commonly happens to small/skinny males). I was in hospital for a long time and after surgery I had lost a lot of weight. This was my time to start changing my life, improving my fitness and bettering myself. After I left college I decided to start going to the gym with my friends. In no time at all I was hooked, I loved it. I'd spent 5-6 days a week in the gym and everyday was a learning curve for me. At first I was struggling to put on much weight, but once I researched 'bulking', I ate a very high calorie diet for 4 months and managed to increase my weight by around 18kg.

"Suffer now and live the rest of your life a champion" - This quote motivated me to push through every day and keep training to achieve my goals. I knew that it wouldn't be an easy process but once I started seeing gains I knew I couldn't give it up.

Bodybuilding and fitness has completely transformed my life. My confidence has improved beyond belief, I'm no longer the shy guy that I used to be and I'm not scared of the bullies that made my school years tough. I hope my story motivates you to be determined at reaching your goal. Bodybuilding isn't just about looking good, it's about your mental state, confidence, health and wellbeing.
