Kelebihan :
Interface dan penggunaan tool lebih mudah.
Proses pembuatan dan pengeditan objek cepat, tidak ada layer visible atau tanpa dipengaruhi layer.
Ada blending color atau pencampuran warna secara live.
Untuk proses cetak hasil memuaskan karena perbedaan antara tampilan pada layar monitor dan hasil cetak tidak terlalu banyak.
Kekurangan :
Model visualisasi untuk digital kurang memuaskan, terutama bagian pewarnaan.
Photoshop
Kelebihan
Dapat membuat tulisan dengan effect tertentu.
Dapat membuat tekstur dan material yang lebih beragam.
Dapat mengedit foto dan gambar yang sudah ada dengan lebih mudah.
Kekurangan
Dengan berkembangnya versi photoshop, spesifikasi komputer yang dibutuhkan untuk menjalankan aplikasi ini pun semakin tinggi.
Macromedia flash
Kelebihan
Ukuran file yang kecil dengan kualitas yang baik.
Kebutuhan hardware untuk menggunakan aplikasi ini tidak tinggi.
Dapat membuat website, cd-interaktif, animasi web, animasi kartun, kartu elektronik, iklan TV, banner di web, presentasi interaksi, permainan, aplikasi web dan handphone.
Dapat ditampilkan di berbagai media seperti Web, CD-ROM, VCD, DVD, Televisi, Handphone dan PDA.
Adanya Actionscript. Dengan ini, dapat membuat animasi dengan menggunakan kode sehingga ukuran file yang dihasilkan pun lebih kecil
Kekurangan
Grafisnya kurang lengkap.
Tidak sederhana dan menunya tidak user friendly serta cukup sulit dalam pembuatan animasi 3D.
