Q. Why did Sam Gribly run away from home and into the woods?
A. Sam wants to run away from home and life in the woods because he thinks that the city is too crowded. He wants to find the farm that his ancestors lived on a long time ago called, the Gribly Farm. He doesn't want to rely on electricity, and cars. He had wanted to be independent and live by himself, and his dad said that he would never find the farm.

Q. Explain who the first man Sam met named Bando is.
A. Bando is a college professor who got lost in the woods one day. Sam herd police sirens one night then ironically Bando showed up. Sam thought that he was a criminal, but he was just a teacher. Bando actually stayed with Sam for a wile and was fun to hang out with. He could even make useful things from natural resources. He made a raft, clay containers, berry jam, willow whistles, and fire bellows. Bando ended up visiting again later in the season and they became very good friends
