Yes I think we will need to clear some things up.

First, I had no idea you did not want to be touched. Because it did not seem (to me) that you were annoyed by it, I greatly misinterpreted it to mean that you were happy with it and I did not stop as the night went on because of it. Since you’ve always been one to speak your mind that could have been nipped in the bud right away Monica. I wasn’t going to be offended by you telling me not to do that once more.

Second, you were the only one to say and conclude that I was pouting. I was merely taken aback by the idea that people would prefer to dance by themselves (like I actually thought it was pretty strange). But this ignores the fact that I told you I would come join you in San Francisco on the condition that you would dance with me at some point. That isn’t a big deal in my mind but you made it seem like that was somehow unacceptable. And we’re in a gay bar Monica, who were you were expecting me to bide my time with exactly? It wasn’t clear after you gave me a kiss at the restaurant whether it was okay to dance with another woman based off how you feel about promiscuous behavior.

Third, my comments about my friend were taken way more seriously than I thought they would. My friend is an attractive guy who likes to flirt. It was meant as a half hearted joke about how you might take a likening to him. I never once said I was going to be bothered by that and I actually do want you to meet him (which I’m pretty sure I said in our conversation in the car). Sometimes what you take seriously and what you do not really surprises me. But we’re all subject to misinterpretation just as I had done.

Now I’m sitting here shocked that you were actually referring to me in your online post because I did not assume that it was about me. I know you like to talk about the things that bother you but I realize being the target of your frustrations on a huge platform like Facebook makes me realize now that you would prefer to put people on blast than discuss it in person first, which really bothers me. I may choose not to share things about myself with you in the future because of this.
