carbon dioxide (CO2) has increased more than twice the amount from the start of the Industrial Revolution to modern times. Carbon dioxide is made from plenty of living organisms due to the process called cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is commonly known as breathing. However, the carbon dioxide we make will never compare to how much those tremendous companies are producing. Carbon dioxide is important to know about due to it being a factor in destroying our atmosphere. When our atmosphere is decreased to a thinner layer of protective gas then more rays of light may pass through that layer and cause our economies to potentially warm during the summers and colder when winter arrives.


FISHES

B. Ocean acidification - decrease in the pH oceans, caused by carbon dioxide
Ba. case of corals – destroys the habitat many species need to thrive.
C. warming of water - move to different areas, destroying local fishing communities.
D. WHY ITS IMPORTANT Feeding a hungry world: Healthy, renewable food from fisheries become important as agriculture suffers from drought and other impacts of climate change.
E. the size of marine populations has declined by almost half (49%) between 1970 and 2012.
F. Slower growth rates
G. Lower oxygen levels in the water
H. Greater susceptibility to poisons, parasites and disease
I. 3 degree rise in average August temperatures would prevent some fish such as salmon and trout to live in streams
J. Fish eggs are more sensitive to pH changes than fish adults, and can cause population to drop
