-This brass or copper pot was given to my grandma from her mom after her marriage and then she gave it to my mom and so the cycle continues. The vessel is believed to be a symbol of auspiciousness and the removing of obstacles, that is why this is so important to give at the time of marriage and also childbirth when there should be all auspicious omens and no obstacles.

-Mango leaves are placed on this pot, with a coconut on top of it. This pot is then placed before the deity prior to performing the ritual. The pot when doing a ritual signifies Mother Earth; the water is considered the life-giver; the leaves signify the life breath and the coconut symbolizes, the divine consciousness.
