Every state has one of those little hell hole towns. You know the ones I'm talking about? The run down abandoned ghost towns that no one ever really moves to on porpose. Well, those are the towns my father has an obsession with. Thanks to my fathers fassionation I am now moving into Salton city California, A shit hole place with one shop, one school, and quite a few produce farms. At least we know where our food comes from.
"Frankie, get out of the car and help me unpack, will ya?."
I roll my eyes then open the door to look up at this tall dark green house, not the good kind of green, the awful green that any sane human would rather go blind than see this eye sore for the rest of their lifes kind of green, it had a dirt filled yard which was much different from the rest of the city but also matched most of california.
"Our own personal desert. Shes a bit of a fixer upper but i think we got what it takes to make her livible, don't you Frankie?"
I nodded and loaded some boxes in the house and plopped them down in what will soon be our living room. The interior of the house didn't match the exterior at all, there was a beautiful chandlere that hung from the dining room roof and each wall was painted with a different type of flower. It was truly stunning.
