In the beginning, it was all Charlotte, who has proven to come back stronger than ever, ready to get back her opportunity of competing for the Women's Championship. Since the very start, the favourites of winning the match were obviously the veterans in Taeler and Charlotte, and both of them looked strong in their attempt of claiming the briefcase, originally held by none other than the Hall of Famer, Paige. Kay Lee used her very unique moveset in order to stand out from the other competitors, but ended up being thrown out of the ring by the Hell Cat herself, Melina Perez, after a Primal Scream, which was her signature maneuver. Taeler ended up getting Melina out of the equation after a wicked Powerbomb from the top rope, which left Melina broken into half. Eva lacked in-ring experience, but was quick in making a name for herself after attacking the French Deity Maryse from behind. While these fights were going down, Charlotte started climbing one of the ladders placed inside the ring; but Taeler quickly climbed that one as well and knocked Charlotte off of it. When Taeler was closer than ever to the briefcase, she was knocked down and thrown off of the ladder by none other than Maryse, who then quickly grabbed the briefcase, before being declared the victor.
