Tanaman ini suka berteriak keras jika disentuh. Teriakan Mandrake dewasa bisa membuat kita tewas seketika, seperti yg pernah terjadi pada menteri sihir Venusia Crickely pada tahun 1912. Sedangkan untuk bayi mandrake teriakannya tidak akan membuat kita tewas, hanya pingsan aja. Itu sebabnya kita harus menggunakan ear smuff.
Kegunaan daging atau buah mandrake ini adalah sebagai bahan utama untuk ramuan pemulih bagi orang yang mengalami pematungan/pembekuan/petrification.
Cara memindahkan Mandrake hanya mencabut rambut-rambutnya saja, jangan sampai tangan kita tergigit, karena akan terluka. Kemudian pindahkan ke pot yg lain dan tutup dengan tanah atau dragon dung agar ia merasa hangat dan nyaman. (ASEK) :))
