Zitronenkekse (cooking project)
In Germany these are called zitronenkekse but to us americans they are known as lemon cookies. I chose this pastry as one of my projects because it is a traditional german recipe. I thought baking a German recipe would be diiferent to see how their meals were not as bad as there actions during the Holocaust. This delightful dessert is known to be eaten later in the evening usually after dinner time. Whats interesting to me about this cookie is that the main ingredient that ties it together is actual lemon, the peeling to be more spacific. the Vannila extract also gives a sweet flavor to the cookie aswell but, who would have known. I did spend some time searching for the recipe i thought would be neat, while changing my choices i stumbled upon this recipe that caught my eye.
Miep Gies (Wanted poster)
Miep Gies was the assistant of Mr.Kraler the owner of an office who took in two families whom where jewish from the kindness of his heart. Miep got supplies that the families needed and cared for them as much as Mr.Kraler. I chose Miep Gies to be in the wanted poster because she is a big part of Anne Franks story that is barely recognized. She is being wanted for the assistance of concealing one or more jewish families from the German forces. The reward is 500,000 euros, and it explains that if the criminal is captured they must be taken into german forces immediately. I just learned that Miep Gies lived to be 100, who knew someone who has done great things to live that long to remember.

Handwritten Poem
I wrote this poem to express my perspective on the Heartwarming story of Anne Frank. I have used multiple examples of figurative languagein this poem. I told the story using poetic elements flowing the story in every right direction there could be. I want to share how beautiful this world could be when we all fight and love together. Anne franks story did not just inspire me and my fellow classmates she changed a part of me like she has for our whole world.
