Pop Art
•Berasal dari istilah Popular Culture, yaitu sebuah ungkapan untuk menggambarkan sebuah budaya yang lebih berkaitam dengan hiburan, komersial, dan sifatnya non formal.
•Por art adalah suatu gerakan dalam seni modern yang meniru metode, gaya dan tema dari budaya populer dan media massa.
Contohnya komik, iklan, dan fiksi ilmiah.
•Pop art juga merupakan bentuk perluasan subjek seni yang berasal dari desainer grafik kemasan, tanda, billboard dan iklan.
Tokoh dalam pop art :
1. Roy Lichtenstein
Ia mengambil frame gambar yang kecil dengan pola titik-titik warnanya, kemudian membesarkannya menjadi gambar yg monumental.
2. Andy Warhol
Ia menggunakan budaya populer dan dunia periklanan sebagai sumber tema karyanya.
3. Richard Hamilton
Ia membuat karya kolase yg mengandung unsur-unsur seperti label dagang, logo, produk, dan bagian yang ditonjolkan dalam buku komik.
4. George Segal
Ia tidak menggunakan teknik yg impersonal, ia menampilkan bentuk pop art yg mempribadi (personalized).
5. Wedha Abdul Rasyid
Ia membuat karya-karya fiksi dari potrer tokoh dunia.
