Autisme
Autisme atau Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) adalah gangguan perkembangan saraf yang memengaruhi kemampuan anak dalam berkomunikasi, interaksi sosial, dan perilaku.
Secara umum, gejala autisme terdeteksi pada usia awal perkembangan anak
sebelum mencapai tiga tahun. Gejala dan tingkat keparahan autisme juga cenderung bervariasi pada tiap penyandangnya. Karena cenderung bervariasi maka, gejala-gejala tersebut dapat dikelompokkan dalam dua kategori utama.
-Kategori pertama adalah gangguan interaksi sosial dan komunikasi. Gejala ini dapat meliputi masalah kepekaan terhadap lingkungan sosial
dan gangguan penggunaan bahasa verbal maupun non verbal.
-kategori kedua meliputi pola pikir, minat dan perilaku yang terbatas serta bersifat pengulangan. Contohnya seorang anak yang autis suka mengetuk-ngetuk atau meremas tangan sendiri.Mereka akan merasa kesal saat rutinitas tersebut terganggu. Mereka akan marah bahkan sampai menangis.
Penyandang autisme juga cenderung memiliki masalah dalam belajar dan kondisi kejiwaan lain. Contohnya gangguan hiperaktif
atau bahasa kerennya Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder yang disingkat ADHD, ada juga gangguan kecemasan atau depresi.
Namun, anak yang menyandang autisme juga mampu untuk berprestasi. Contohnya,Albert Einstein dan Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
