Rangkuman AB ( Semut )
Semut : serangga anggota suku formicidae,bangsa hymenoptera dan memiliki lebih dari 12.000 jenis yang sebagian besar hidup di kawasab tropika. Sebagian semut dikenal sebagai serangga sosial dengan koloni dan sarang"nya yg teratur beranggotakan ribuan semut per koloni. Semut koloninya dibagi jadi semut pekerja,semut pejantan sama ratu semut. Semut merupakan hewan terkuat didunia. Semut juga sudah menguasai hampir seluruh tanah di bumi kecuali di Islandia,Greenland,dan Hawaii. Semut itu juga keturunan dr generasi tawon vespoidea seperti capung.
Tubuh semut terdiri dr 3 bagian ( kepala,mesosoma/dada,dan metasoma/perut ). Morfologi semut cukup jelas jika dibanding dgn serangga lain. Di kepala semut terdapat banyak organ sensor. Semut punya mata majemuk yg terdiri dr kumpulan lensa mata yg lbh kecildan tergabung u/ mendeteksi gerakan dgn sgt baik layaknya serangga lainnya.
