MUN10-1 Final Simulation Resolution 

"How effective is the United Nations in meeting the needs and facing the challenges of the 21st 

century world?" 
Clauses: 
 

1. Stresses​ the need for the UN to act quickly upon situations that may arise into a war before anything 

drastic happens 
 

2. Requests​ that a new third party UN reform mission begins in the form of the  “2020 Initiative”  that 

focuses on complete transparency and reshaping of the organization (by) 

2.1:The supreme court will begin an investigation into corruption within the UN and its main 

organs such as 

a)Incompetent higher power oversight for the purpose of personal gain 

b)Blue helmet rape 

c)Money laundering 

d)Unclear reports to donor nations on how their money is spent 

2.2: Working to bring back the quick and adaptive nature that the UN was built upon  

e) 
 

3. Encourages​ to create a high level UN coordinator for counterterrorism and countering violent 

extremism 
 
4. Urges​ the security council to: 
a. Expand its veto powers and add member states such as and limited to: 
i.Canada, 
ii.Germany, 
iii.Italy, 
iv.Japan; 
b.Only allow use of a veto power use when a majority of veto nations agree to using 
it; 
5. Calls for​ the security council to change its charter so that the discussion of one of the member 
states in a resolution is only applicable if the delegate is present; 

6. Expects​ the veto powers in the security council to ​waive their veto rights in cases of mass 


atrocities for​ instance but not limited to​: 

c.The Syrian conflict, 

b.ISIS, 

c.The Yemeni Civil War, 

f.The South Sudanese Civil War;

7. Further recommends​ the investigation of root causes of the United nations corrupt and 
outdated structure;
