Pembuatan Bee Garden
1. Mendesain ulang halaman anda. Ganti rumput di halaman depan anda dengan tanaman berbunga yang menyediakan makan dan habitat untuk lebah. Tanam bunga dengan jenis yang umum di daerah anda sehingga membantu memberi makan lebah dan membuatnya lebah dapat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan barunya.
2. Tinggalkan tanaman yang sudah di hibrid karena kemungkinan tanaman tersebut tidak memiliki biji dan memproduksi sangat sedikit sekali serbuk sari untuk lebah.
3. Tanam seluruh 3 musim tanaman. Setidaknya tiga jenis bunga yang berbeda harus ditanam untuk dapat memberikan makanan yang konstan untuk para lebah sepanjang tahun. Contohnya,
- untuk musim semi: Crocus, Hyacinth, Borage, dan Wild Lilac.
- untuk musim panas: Bee ba;m, Cosmos, Echinacea, Snapdragons Foxglove, dan Hosta.
- untuk musim gugu: Zinnias, Sedum, Asters.
4. Bangun tempat minum untuk lebah. Lebah butuh tempat untuk mendapatkan air bersih dan segar. Isi kontainer yang kecil (tidak dalam) dengan kerikil agar para lebah dapat mendarat saat minum. Pastikan kontainernya selalu terisi dengan air segar agar lebah tahu mereka dapat kembali ke tempat yang sama setiap saat.
