Angka 0 sampai 12 dalam bahasa jerman memiliki nama tersendiri, namun ketika angka 13 sampai 19, angka tersebut gabungan dari angka satuan dan angka puluhan.
Begitu juga dengan angka 20, 30, 40 sampai 90. Mereka memiliki sebutan sendiri. namun ketika angka itu digabung menjadi 21 maka dibaca “Ein-und-zwanzig” gabungan dari angka 1 “Einz”
ditambah “Und” dan dibelakang ditambah 20 “zwanzig."
