On Sunday, July 1, because the weather forecast is good for the next days, the guys have decided to set off to the top. They arrived at 6000 m yesterday, where Marius remained another day for the acclimatization, and Zsolt, Aurel, Teo have set off higher at 6.800 m today. They want to climbe up to the last camp at 7.200 m tomorrow, and the following day to set off to the top, at 8125 m. Depends of how Marius acclimates, he will also climbe up higher.
The good weather window is pretty short, the best day will be on July 4, also possiblly on July 5 but the wind will already be powerful. The following days there won't be precipitations but the wind blows even stronger, reaching 85 km/h at 8.000 m.
Yesterday was "terrible" said Zsolt, because of the strong wind and the blizzard which transported the snow onto the mountain. Today is light snow, but is no more strong wind.
We will continuing be in touch with you about their ascent on Nanga Parbat - 8.125 m.
We are beside them and wish them have an easy ascent and we hope to hear only good news.
