"'Work emergency. Call me when you wake up- I had a nice night,'" Iris said, raising her eyebrows at the last part. "Seems you two had one hell of a 'talk.'" She said with a smile. Sara blushed and looked down. "We didn't do anything serious." Iris nodded her head slowly. "Sure. So what else did you guys do?" Sara shrugged. "We watched movies. Talked. Kissed. The usual." Iris nodded again and sat down. Sara tilted her head. "What's on your mind? Barry?" Iris shook her head. "No, it's my Dad. He and his team have to go follow up some heist or something, he's leaving tomorrow."
"When will he be back?"
"December 5..."
Sara looked at her sympathetically. The West family had spent every Thanksgiving together since Iris's mother left and Barry came to live with them and since Sara had moved to Central, she had spent the holidays with them, too.
"Oh, Iris, I'm sorry. I know how important the holidays are to you."
Iris smiled sadly and shook her head. "It's fine. I'll just spend it with you and Barr." Her face brightened and Sara looked at her suspiciously. "What are you thinking?" Iris giggled.
"You could invite Michael..."
Sara groaned at Iris' suggestion but smiled nevertheless. "Come on, it would be fun!" Sara shook her head. "I don't know. We haven't been going out for that long, I mean... It's only been two dates."
"Yeah, but I've seen how you guys are. Bring him over for the holidays, it'll be fun." Sara sighed. "I'll talk to him."
Iris smiled giddily.
