Sometimes, you wake up in the morning and just think about how awful your day is about to be. That happens to Muffet quite often - and especially right now. She slowly raised her head from her bed, her many eyes slowly opening and blinking one after the other to take in the surroundings of her disheveled home. She was already in a bad mood, and knowing she'd have to phone in being cheerful... it almost made her want to call in sick. But, there was nobody to call in to. And if she didn't get her things set up, the spiders wouldn't get to eat. And she cared about them more than anything. More than herself, as a matter of fact, which is why she was so slender. Not that she was expecially malnourished, but she can't really remember the last time she ever ate enough to fill her up as good as most people can afford to. She slowly dragged herself out, careful not to step on any of her brothers or sisters as she got into the shower, starting her morning routine as she went from there all the way to getting out of the house, having refreshed and gotten dressed. Behind her, a small army of spiders were carrying her table, signs, and food stuffs as she locked the door to her tiny place and started out of the Warrens all the way to Hotland where she was certain the most business would come from.

It's a long trip, and every step she takes gives her no more hope than the initial waking up did, but who knows? Maybe today's the day she'll get especially lucky. And so, with her table set up and her spiders having mostly scurried off in order to leave her to her own devices, she leaned over the table and propped her head up with her arms, beaming wide at the universe as she attempted to drum up attention. "All proceeds go to a good cause! Help keep the spiders in business!" It probably wasn't going to happen, but... a girl can dream, can't she?
