Europe needs more material and more places to buy their products. They begin to colonize places around them so they can send all the lower class to the colonies and have a "perfect" population. Then they go to Africa. Africa has a lot of resources, good weather and they wouldn't be able to stop the europeans because they don't have the weapons/army. European countries begin to fight over who owns the african territories. They have a conference in Berlin where they would split Africa (1884 organized by Otto von Bismarck). 15 countries are united at this conference. The "accords" were created (what the 15 countries agreed upon).

6. To control a territory, you must have population.
7. 50 countries are created

Europe is superior. Mission to turn inferior people into superior. Then entrepreneurs go and make transportation for resources. Africans begin to help exporting. Eventually resold to Africa.

End of 1800s:
George. W. Wiliams = journalist exposing illegal activity
Georges Clemenceau = no right to dominate another race
Samory Toure = fights for african rights

Resistance didn't change anything. Industrial rights changed the world map, specifically Africa.

Colonies realize they are important
