Step 1.5: You can find your diablo 2 keys on the battle.net website, you will need both of them.
Step 1.9: inside the .zip file of 1.13 you'll find a expansion folder and a original folder. As well as the 1.13 update
step 1.91: Place both of the folders and the update into a new folder
Step 2: Install from the original folder first using your legitimate diablo 2 key, fakes will not work. DO NOT LAUNCH THE GAME. exit the start up screen.
Step 3: Install from the expansion folder next. DO NOT LAUNCH THE GAME. exit the start up screen.
Step 4: Run the 1.13 update that was given to you, you might crash during the update, THAT IS OKAY IT MEANS NOTHING. Just hit alt and press the closing x on the error
Step 4.5: Go to your diablo lord of destruction shortcut and go to properties in the target section put -w Ex. [ C:GamesDiablo IIDiablo II.exe" -w ] Make sure there is a space between the quotation marks. This way your game will run in windowed mode which'll stop you from crashing
Step 5: Install the path of diablo launcher directly to your diablo 2. Now at the end when it allows you to finish click open launcher
Step 6: This is where it gets a little confusing. Click update first and foremost. Next there will be a set getway button there will be
two options set custom and set main gateway. Note: The gate way for main is what you want, it will show in text what gateway you connect to be it useast, uswest, europe.battle.net. You don't want any of these to be showing because that'll update you to 1.14 and have you start all over again. You want it to show s.pathofdiablo.com Now if it doesn't show that and won't change to it DO NOT CLICK PLAY. Simply exit the the launcher and launch it again as admin. And set the gateway to main gateway it should pop up as s.pathofdiablo.com
Step 7: If you've completed all of these steps and each have gone correctly you should be able to hop onto the game through that launcher
Step 8: Make your character on the ladders since there is no basic server
Step 9: Profit, have fun
