Why want job?
Originally saw job on slug quest and was interested in it specifically for the diversity center position on campus, which job duties were very similar to what I am doing now, just with more time committed to it. That was exactly what I was looking for in my first full time, year long job. Then after you emailed me for the phone interview I looked into what exactly AmeriCoprs does, and it interested me greatly. My long term carrier orientated goal is to get a secure managerial position in a non profit organization which focuses either on social justice or environmental sustainability or both, as there is sometimes crossover, and this seems to be one of the best opportunities for me to achieve that goal. As a position which is dedicated to gaining experiences and knowledge about my chosen field I feel that it is the perfect place for me to start at.

What is best quality you can contribute? events coordination
Teamwork, in my current job at the Kresge Common ground center at UCSC I plan events, hosts workshops, do tabling, coordinate volunteers, and do public speaking, but to accomplish this I works closely with a team. synthesizing opinions and getting the job done while maintaining everyone happiness and motivation is a careful balancing act which I have gotten quite good at

Give an example when you showed leadership/teamwork ability?
Kresge Common Ground center is separated in 4 positions events, community engagement, media, treasure positions. because each position is necessary for our org to function they all need to be completed with a swiftness. the beginning of last school year however I was the only one working at the center and therefore had to take on multiple roles, including the hiring process for the positions which were not filled. once these new members where hired I had to train them/ get them accustomed to their new role, in fields which I was not hired for, and was doing my best to learn about myself. Because of that the team is now stronger then ever, and even though I am going to graduate in a couple of months I leave in confidence that the team members who are left can take care of business and get the job done.

Weakest quality?
I know this question people pick something that could be misconstrued as a strength, but that is dishonest. I will be completely honest with you and say that I can stress myself out sometimes if I am overwhelmed with work, however this has been a quality which I have gone through painstaking lengths to eliminate, from practicing techniques for relaxing and time management skills I have been working dutifully to eliminate this negative trait.
