Notes

It's 9 P.M. and Al has been walking back and forth silently in front of his sister's bedroom since an hour ago. He's been here to remind her about their stargazing plan but he's not sure if Sarah even remembers it because she hasn't shown any interest about that since this morning.

An inaudible sigh escapes his lips. Al is about to knock the bedroom's door when Sarah opens it, and they are now facing each other; awkward.

"Uh...?"
"Hey."
"Hi. What are you doing?"
"Do you remember to stargaze...?"
"Oh well, I was about to go to the attic, I thought you had been there."
"You don't forget?"
"....why should I?"

It's so weird for Sarah to witness her brother's slowly emitting a wide smile as they walk together. "Your hair is grey."

"I know."
"I like it better than any other colours."

Sarah almost chokes but she hopes she heard it wrong. "What did you say?"

Alaric turns his head to see her and shakes it. "No, nothing?"

"Ah... Whoa. You've prepared so much."

And yes, he has. There's a telescope, snacks, a bottle of Butterbeer, and blankets. Though Sarah isn't quite sure about the blankets but whatever, she runs for the telescope and Al nearly jumps on his spot when she screams.

"WHAT?"
"So many stars!"
"...so?"
"What do you mean so? I LOVE stars."
"Oh, well. Enjoy."
"Don't you want to see them too?"
"Sure."

He makes his way towards her, standing right behind Sarah's small figure before leaning in. What Sarah doesn't understand is that she quietly enjoys the fact that his Downy smell lingers around the room. And that Al stands so close it makes her feel so safe and sound. "We should do this every week."

His whisper snaps her back to the reality and she nods her head, a little too excited. Alaric turns to face her and gives his childish smile before patting the top of her head.

They stay still for the next few hours, and discover that stargazing is one of the most heartwarming thing Sarah and Al have ever known.
